5 Quick Tips for Keeping Your Bathroom Clean and Fresh
Maintaining a clean and fresh bathroom does not have to be a challenging task. With just a few simple daily steps, you can keep your bathroom sparkling and as new. Here are five easy tips and tricks to help you keep that fresh, clean and new bathroom feeling.
1. Wipe down surfaces daily
One of the best ways to prevent buildup is to make surface cleaning a daily habit. Keep a microfiber cloth or cleaning wipes nearby and take a minute each day to quickly wipe down accessories, sink and countertops etc. This will prevent soap scum, toothpaste splatters, and watermarks from accumulating over time, keeping your bathroom looking tidy with little effort.
2. Use a squeegee on the shower
After every shower, run a squeegee over the wet panel/shower doors. This task helps prevent water marks and soap scum from building up. It reduces the likelihood of mould and mildew forming in the damp environment (see tip 4).
3. Keep bathroom essentials organized
A clutter-free bathroom not only looks cleaner but also feels more relaxing and calmer. When renovating your bathroom, we always recommend implementing plenty of storage. There are permanent examples such as built-in recessed shelves and temporary futures such as the shower gem (we carry these in both our Tralee and Ballincollig showrooms).
4. Ventilate properly
Good ventilation is key to preventing mildew, mould and odours. After a shower, leave the door open or turn on the extractor fan during and this will allow moisture to escape. Check out the previous Blog Post for more details
5. Freshen up with natural scents
Keep your bathroom smelling pleasant by incorporating natural scents. A diffuser with essential oils, such as lavender or eucalyptus, can keep the air smelling fresh and clean.
By following these simple tips and tricks, you will maintain a fresh, clean bathroom.
